I am encouraged by his concluding words, challenging each of us, during this economic turmoil to do something a little bit different. Instead of focusing on our own financial issues, we should reach out to others in need.
Clike here to view the entire blog. What can we do as individuals to help our family, our friends, our neighbors, our fellow Americans, as we all try to weather this economic tsunami? We can help!! I urge each of you to reach out to people in your community who you know are suffering. Donate to a charity geared to help people get through tough times. Volunteer to work at a shelter that feeds the hungry. Offer to help at a food bank. Help a family member or a neighbor in any way that you .can. Share a meal with them. Take their kids for a treat if you can.
Most of all, say a few prayers for all people who are struggling to put food on the table. Americans are known for their compassion. Americans are resilient. I know that together we will get through the tough times.
